John Chisum, VP Asset Management
GE Digital

John Chisum’s career has spanned four decades with technology based work primarily within the utility industry helping gas, electric, telecommunications and water organizations transform their businesses into the digital age. His leadership has enabled organizations to reduce the cost of providing services to their customers, improved reliability, enhanced safety, and reduced environmental impact for organizations across the globe.

His career started within a water and electricity utility in the late 1980s, building a strong working knowledge of the industry. Near the turn of the century he lead the group through multiple expanding acquisitions during the first dot com bubble, ending up as part of the General Electric. Most of the past two decades focused on growth within GE, and lastly on a foundational change into a digital organization poised for the next century.

As a business line leader at GE, John was responsible for a $150M annual business and lead a talented global team through the pandemic. He has held a variety of leadership roles including Project Management, Product Management, Customer Support, Sales, and Operations. Having a well rounded skillset has enabled participation in all aspects of the business from acquisitions to strategic planning to leading consolidations and a particular interest in organizational design as John lead teams through multiple generations of change. Outside of work hours John has applied the same work ethic and skills to multiple side projects and volunteer initiatives over the years.

Hiking and gardening occupy weekends near home in Denver Colorado, when not on a travel adventure around the globe.
